During Sunday’s D23 Expo presentation, EA Star Wars revealed the first look at the new DLC coming to Star Wars Battlefront. Called The Battle of Jakku, the story will help bridge the gap between Return of the Jedi and J.J. Abrams’ The Force Awakens.

EA Star Wars GM Justin Mccully took the stage to showcase concept art for the DLC, as well as new details. According to him, the team went to Abu Dhabi, where The Force Awakens set up shop, to film Jakku in order to make the game as accurate as possible.

The Battle of Jakku was first announced during Star Wars Celebration earlier this year. EA Star Wars describes it as “the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet on the Outer Rim” approximately one year after the Battle of Endor from Return of the Jedi. From what we’ve seen in the trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Jakku is littered with marooned spaceships, and the DLC will reveal how it came to be so.

If pre-ordered, the DLC will be available on Dec. 1. Otherwise, gamers will have to wait until Dec. 8. See the new concept art of the battle below.

Elsewhere, PlayStation’s Adam Boyes came out to reveal a limited edition, Darth Vader-inspired PS4 system. Available starting on Nov. 17, it will be included in one of two Star Wars bundles — one for Star Wars Battlefront and one for Disney Infinity 3.0. Watch the announcement trailer below.
