Each week ‘Big Brother’ host Julie Chen will answer a few questions about the latest eviction episode.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Double eviction night is always my favorite episode. How stressful is it for you to make sure everyone is where they need to be for everything, and that you fit all the competitions and ceremonies in such a short amount of time?
JULIE CHEN: It’s stressful for sure! I need to prepare to ask every HG about their experience because it’s possible that any of them would be the second HG evicted. And the questions have to be on the fly based on what just happened, who evicted that person, and the last minutes whispers and deals!
Can you fill us in on any scoop on what the houseguests were saying frantically during commercial breaks before the nominations and the final voting?
I need to confirm, but I think Steve and John were making an agreement to NOT use the POV so Steve wouldn’t have to get more blood on his hands.
It’s tempting to say showmance couples never do well because they make themselves such obvious targets, but Jordan and Rachel both won this game. What was Clay and Shelli’s undoing?
Clay and Shelli’s undoing was that they are a bit too perfect-looking and got a little smug. Also, in a word: James! James and his boldness and his lack of caring what people think about him undid the power couple of Clelli.
Both Shelli and Jackie seemed downright happy when they walked out of the house. That always strikes me as odd. I would be super bummed in their shoes. Is that just the adrenaline of them seeing new faces in the audience and hearing the roar of the crowd? What’s that eviction enthusiasm all about, Julie?
The eviction enthusiasm is about “This is Hollywood baby! Let’s look good for my close-up!” I also think seeing a live audience cheer you on (or not, as in Aaryn from season 15) makes you want to strut your stuff and put your best foot forward!
