'Pretty Little Liars' star joins 'Chicago Med'

Torrey DeVitto is coming on board Chicago Med.

The day after NBC confirmed the exit of actress Laurie Holden on the Chicago Fire spin-off, sources tell EW that DeVitto has joined the show.

The Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries actress will be a series regular on the medical drama, playing a pregnant ER physician.

This is a different role than the one exited by Holden. It’s one of three new roles the Dick Wolf-produced drama is looking to fill, the other being charge nurse and a young, first-year resident.

Chicago Med debuts Nov. 17.
