Jason Reitman brings his flare for dark comedy to the small screen this fall with Casual, a Hulu series centered on divorced mom Valerie (Michaela Watkins) as she rediscovers herself while living with her brother (Tommy Dewey) and teenage daughter (Tara Lynne Barr). While not much is known about the series — other than that it’ll likely include the dry humor and uncomfortable situations present in Reitman’s past projects (Juno, Thank You For Smoking, Young Adult) — EW has an exclusive first-look photo from the show (above).

In the photo, Valerie meets up with Dewey and Barr’s characters after each of them experience their own wild night out. As the trio’s facial expressions hint, the context of this coming together isn’t a positive one.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until Casual‘s October debut to learn more about the dysfunctional family’s adventures. Hulu will release a new episode each week (the streaming service ordered 10 installments last year), similar to its approach with Difficult People and The Mindy Project.

Casual premieres Oct. 7 on Hulu.
