In a casting that would provide endless hours of shirtless enjoyment (see above), EW has learned Zac Efron is in talks to join the upcoming Baywatch movie.

The comedy, based on the 1990s series, will star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who shared his enthusiasm for Efron to join the project on Twitter Monday:

According to The Hollywood Reporter, which was first to report the news, Efron will play a young lifeguard with no interest in following the rules who joins forces with a stalwart veteran (Johnson) to protect their beach from being destroyed by an oil maven.

Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) will direct and Friday the 13th writers Damian Shannon and Mark Swift have penned the most recent script. Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman are set to produce. Production is set to being in early 2016.
