The voyage will continue for the USS Nathan James.

TNT is giving post-apocalyptic naval thriller The Last Ship a third season.

Despite enduring some ratings drop-off this summer, the action-adventure — starring Eric Dane as a U.S. Navy destroyer captain navigating a post-pandemic world — will return next year.

The news comes after TNT recently renewed procedurla Rizzoli and Isles for a shortened seventh season. But we’re hearing freshman legal drama Proof is facing an uphill battle on getting a second season — but officially, the jury is still out.
