Watch out for mama, Marty.

NCIS: Los Angeles is about to get a visit from Pamela Reed, best known for her stint on Parks and Recreation. EW has learned exclusively that she’ll play Mrs. Deeks, the mother of Marty (Eric Christian Olsen).

“It will come as a shock, but yes … Deeks does have a mother!” executive producer Shane Brennan tells EW. “A big moment for Kensi when they finally meet, a bigger moment for Deeks and another memorable NCIS: LA moment for the fans as we lift the veil — or in this case, the apron — on one of our much-loved characters.”

In case you haven’t kept up with current events, NCIS: LA fans have been wanting to know more about Marty’s backstory. The general feeling is that he’s had some issues in the past, so mama’s arrival could answer some burning questions.

If anything, she’ll get to meet Kensi (Daniela Ruah), Deeks’ new lady love!

The first episode for Reed, who has also appeared on CSI and Criminal Minds, will air in September. The seventh season of NCIS: LA will kick off on Monday, Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
