The final episode of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart offered a seemingly endless parade of farewells from many familiar faces that popped up throughout Stewart’s 16 years behind the desk. Even some of his biggest targets appeared to bid him goodbye — though that didn’t mean they had to be nice about it.

In the montage below, Bill O’Reilly, John McCain, and many more delivered their last messages to Stewart for all he’s done to them. Chris Christie, Hillary Clinton, and Chuck Schumer were among other politicians on both sides of the aisle who appeared to offer a few parting words as well. At the very least, the goodbye messages certainly prove McCain did not miss his calling as a Muppet puppeteer.

And for more from Stewart’s last episode, check out his plea against “bulls—“ and his Goodfellas nod from the finale.
