Director Alejandro Jodorowsky is famous for making such mindbending movies as 1970’s El Topo and 1973’s The Holy Mountain (or, in the case of his proposed adaption of Frank Herbert’s sci-fi novel Dune, not making it). But, over the years, the filmmaker has also created a string of mindbending comics.

This November, Titan Comics will publish Jodorowsky and artist Nicolas Fructus’ science fiction story Showman Killer: Heartless Hero. According to the official synopsis, the title concerns “a heartless assassin, genetically engineered by an insane scientist to be devoid of any emotion, and trained to kill! The only things that give him anything approaching pleasure are destruction or money. That is, until a fateful mission throws him into the path of the mysterious and fascinating Ibis.”
