RADiUS-TWC, the same distributor that released the acclaimed horror film It Follows earlier this year, has another frightening treat in store for September. Goodnight Mommy is an Austrian thriller directed by Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz with a premise to die for: A famous television actress (Susanne Wuest) returns home after a stay in the hospital for cosmetic facial surgery — and her twin 9-year-old sons (Elias Schwarz and Lukas Schwarz) believe that she is an imposter. And they plan on doing something about it.

The devilishly clever plot spins and turns in many unnerving ways — all the way to its rug-pull of an ending — that it would be unwise to reveal more of it here. But take a look at the movie’s poster and its trailer (below) and brace yourselves for one of the most corkscrew-twisted, razor-blade sharp films of the year when Goodnight Mommy opens on Sept. 11.
