On Monday night’s Late Late Show James Corden played “Flinch” with Emmy nominees William H. Macy, Don Cheadle, and Matt LeBlanc. The goal of the game: fire an object at the participant and see if he flinches.

Corden and the actors tested their ability to remain cool under the pressure of having items ranging from fruits to breast implants shot at them.

Macy stayed confident as Corden fired apples from a slingshot at him. Cheadle and LeBlanc also appeared undaunted as various objects were tossed in their direction. But the three actors delighted in the idea of making a clearly nervous Corden flinch.

One of the best moments came when Reggie Watts suggested LeBlanc use a sledgehammer on Corden. “There’s a big difference between an egg and a sledgehammer,” Corden said, trying to reason with LeBlanc.

“You really gonna stand that close?” LeBlanc asked Corden right before eliciting the biggest flinch of the night.
