The legendary Joan Collins is returning to E!’s The Royals for season 2, and EW has your exclusive first look at her dramatic, bejeweled, sunset-lit homecoming.

Unlike her appearance in season 1, The Grand Duchess of Oxford and mother to Queen Helena (Elizabeth Hurley) won’t only be delivering scathing one-liners, though it’s almost a guarantee there will be some of that the next time we see the fabulous mother-daughter duo interact. Indeed, Collins will play an integral part in the overarching mystery of season 2.

“The Grand Duchess may know a thing or two about the mysterious ‘Domino’ symbol that has been taunting the queen since King Simon’s (Vincent Regan) attack outside the palace that ultimately led to his death in the season 1 finale,” creator Mark Schwahn tells EW exclusively.

Meanwhile, in a promo for season 2, Cyrus (Jake Maskall) is sitting pretty atop his late brother’s former throne, but something tells us that won’t be the case for long.

The Royals returns to E! in November.
