The first official promos for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert debuted on Sunday night, featuring Colbert and a surprise guest: former presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

“Hi America, it’s Stephen Colbert. I can’t wait to start hosting The Late Show starting Sept. 8 on CBS,” Colbert says in the first of three promos posted to the official Late Show YouTube page. “I’ll talk about the news, tell jokes and have fascinating conversations with celebrities, athletes, musicians and, of course, politicians.” It’s then that Colbert is confronted by the actual Mitt Romney. “Wow, you do a great Mitt Romney,” Colbert says.

“I am Mitt Romney,” Romney responds. Moments later, the 2012 Republican nominee says he was told there would be pancakes.
