Black Mass — the true story of how Whitey Bulger (Johnny Depp) became the most powerful and feared man in Boston, thanks, in part, to serving as an FBI informant — has already served up one pretty scary trailer (which will make you rethink telling anyone the family recipe anytime, ever).

Now, on the heels of the news that the film, directed by Scott Cooper (Out of the Furnace), will debut at the Venice Film Festival, comes another trailer that almost feels like a short film in and of itself.

Set to Yelawolf’s “Till It’s Gone,” this preview shows even more frightening Bulger action, as well as nicely showcasing a star-studded cast. In addition to large roles played by Joel Edgerton (who plays FBI agent John Connolly) and Benedict Cumberbatch as Billy Bulger, the supporting cast includes: Kevin Bacon, Adam Scott, Dakota Johnson, Peter Sarsgaard, Julianne Nicholson, Juno Temple, Jesse Plemons, and Corey Stoll.

Black Mass opens in theaters on Sept.18, below.
