Coulson may meet his match in the new season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Hot off her villainous turn on Lifetime’s UnREAL, Constance Zimmer is set to recur on the ABC super series in the upcoming third season, EW has learned exclusively.
Zimmer, whose credits also include House of Cards and Entourage, will play the head of a mysterious new government agency that will cross paths with S.H.I.E.L.D. as both seek out new Inhumans following the events of last season. Zimmer’s character will go toe-to-toe with Coulson (Clark Gregg) and act as his antagonist when the show returns.
The actress will make her debut in the season 3 premiere, which picks up a few months after the events of the finale. (Get more scoop on her character here.) She won’t be the only new face popping up this season, as Marvel comics villain Lash, along with a variety of characters inspired by the Secret Warriors comic series, are slated to play major roles.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
