New York hip-hop station Power 105.1 will air an interview with Cash Money head Birdman on Tuesday, including the rap mogel’s comments about his ongoing dispute with the label’s signature artist Lil Wayne. In a preview of the interview, Birdman had positive things to say about Wayne, who has been on the label since he was nine.

“You never thought Wayne would be saying nothing negative about me in no lifetime,” said Birdman. “I never thought that could ever happen — for that man to open his mouth and say something negative about me. I love my son. He mean the world to me. For that man to say something negative about me, that affected my life.”

The remarks contradict the feud’s recent escalation. In the past month alone, Cash Money sued Jay Z and Tidal to the tune of $50 million for exclusively releasing Wayne’s Free Weezy Album on July 4—and Birdman and Young Thug have been implicated in a plot to kill Wayne.

Birdman also commented about Drake and Nicki Minaj, Cash Money artists on Lil Wayne’s Young Money subsidiary who have been caught up in the dispute. “Nicki and Drake ain’t going nowhere, regardless,” he said.
