Two months after Caitlyn Jenner made her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair, E! debuted Jenner’s new docu-series, I Am Cait. But no amount of promotion and teasing — of which there was plenty — likely prepared audiences for the emotional and honest way the show portrayed Jenner’s transition.
