We Are Your Friends trailer: Zac Efron makes Emily Ratajkowski dance

Dreams of escaping the San Fernando Valley and making it in the music industry lead Zac Efron’s Cole Carter to ditch the typical 9-to-5 in favor of spinning records. But the road to success is never easy, and he’ll have to get a little creative to stand out among the big names and wannabes.

In the latest trailer for Max Joseph’s We Are Your Friends, Cole and his friends are looking to hustle their way out of their neighborhood by the end of the summer. Luckily, Cole has the DJ skills to make it happen and a few important people begin to take notice. Soon, friendships are tested, and Cole must learn to balance his passion and his relationships before it’s too late. With a montage of Efron running and some heart-thumping beats, the clip gives fans a small taste of what they can expect in a few weeks.

We Are Your Friends, starring Efron alongside Emily Ratajkowski, Jon Bernthal, and Wes Bentley, arrives in theaters Aug. 28.
