The E! version of Cinderella has found its spin on Prince Charming: EW has exclusively learned that Dallas star Josh Henderson has landed the male lead role in The Arrangement.

The story (billed as a “modern-day Cinderella with a Hollywood twist”) follows a young actress (not yet cast) who auditions for the female lead in a summer blockbuster movie to star opposite the hottest male actor of the moment, Kyle West (Henderson). “After Megan’s audition segues into a dreamlike first date, her situation takes bizarre turn when she is presented with a contract that details an entire relationship with Kyle, forcing her to choose whether she will accept The Arrangement.”

So basically: Cinderella mixed with the rumored relationship of at least one certain famous real-life couple.

The script is from Emmy-winner Jonathan Abrahams (Mad Men) and executive produced by Jimmy Fox with All3Media and Universal Cable Productions. If greenlit to series, the project will represent E!’s second drama following The Royals (you might say the first series focsed on British royalty, and the second on American royalty — a.k.a., Hollywood stars). The Royals ranks as the top new scripted series in cable this year (excluding spin-offs).
