The Mockingjay trailer is here! The Mockingjay trailer is here!

After weeks of Lionsgate teasing its fans mercilessly with tiny bits of movie propaganda (each crumb setting off its own Internet firestorm), the studio has finally unveiled two-and-a-half minutes of glorious advertising for the final chapter of the genuinely loved series.

Cynicism notwithstanding, our latest look at director Francis Lawrence’s adaptation of the second-half of Suzanne Collins final book gives us great insight into what he has promised fans will be both “emotional” and “satisfying.” Starring Jennifer Lawrence as brave heroine Katniss Everdeen, Mockingjay Part 2 promises to be an epic final chapter combining the best the series has to offer: emotional narrative, political allegory, love, death and of course, fierce costumes.

The stakes for District 13 have never been higher as the resistance attempts to topple the Capitol while Katniss personally sets her sights on President Snow. Love triangles will be resolved. Beloved characters will perish. But in the end, The Girl on Fire and all that she stands for must prevail.

Nov. 20 can’t come soon enough.
