It’s been a weird month for Jimmy Fallon and hands.

His left ring finger still recovering from a serious injury, Fallon decided to hide his one good hand in an even bigger hand on Tuesday, when Southpaw actor Jake Gyllenhaal joined him on The Tonight Show for a game of Slapjack. (It’s like blackjack, but the winner gets to slap the loser across the face with a giant prosthetic hand.) Gyllenhaal was hesitant to add insult to injury — he even helped his wounded opponent turn over cards — but he couldn’t resist the game’s temptations.

“Anything with big hands, I’m into,” the actor joked. But could their friendship withstand a few rounds at the “gambling spa”?

“I just want you to know something,” Gyllenhaal teased. “After this, things will never be the same.”
