Back to the Future hoverboard: Here's how to build your own

The world has been hoping for a hoverboard ever since it saw Marty McFly’s in Back to the Future Part II. Lexus has made a prototype that it’s testing in the near future, but if that’s still too far in the distance, you can now make one of your very own.

DIY Prop Shop has a YouTube tutorial on how to make a hoverboard, and the whole thing will cost you about $33. Sadly, it’s just a prop — so the board won’t actually hover. But you’ll still have a great addition to your upcoming McFly Halloween costume.
