Look out, iPhone: Emoji are about to get a big-screen upgrade. An animated emoji movie is now in the works at Sony Pictures Animation, EW has confirmed.

Deadline reported the news first. Anthony Leondis, director of Igor and the forthcoming B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations is attached to direct. Leondis and Eric Siegel will co-write the script.

According to Deadline, a three-studio bidding war saw Sony win the almost impossibly current project over Warner Bros. and Paramount, and there’s gossip of another emoji pitch getting shopped soon. Since there are no underlying rights to purchase, the colorful icons are up for grabs in Hollywood.

Reports of beloved comedians providing the voices for Anguished Face, Unamused Face, Disappointed But Relieved Face, and all of their expressive friends will surely follow shortly.
