In his lengthy and impressive career, Sir Ian McKellen has done it all — and now he can add one more skill to his resume.

During promotion for his latest film, Mr. Holmes, McKellen stopped by Yahoo! to offer up his talents in the form of reciting pop songs — specifically, the Taylor Swift hit Bad Blood. The actor didn’t disappoint, using his iconic voice to turn the peppy lyrics into a dramatic narration. Not to be outdone, McKellen followed that performance up with a serious rendition of Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars, which transformed the dance hit into a monologue worthy of a Tony Award … and proved that it’s never too late to pick up a new career.
