With the New Horizons spacecraft sending back images of Pluto to Earth, Stephen Colbert only wanted to discuss the dwarf planet with Neil deGrasse Tyson. Luckily, Tyson was sitting right next to him.

In a new video posted to The Late Show‘s YouTube page, Colbert sat down for an extended interview with Tyson about Pluto and his continued stance that Pluto was correctly downgraded from a planet to a dwarf planet.

Despite actually learning a thing or two about New Horizons’ journey and Pluto, the interview is a great opportunity to see how Colbert’s interview style might be outside of his The Colbert Report persona. The segment may run a bit longer than a normal interview, but Colbert and Tyson don’t wear out their welcome. Well, that is until Tyson says he’d be open to downgrading Earth too if it meant Pluto couldn’t regain its planet status.

Fingers crossed Colbert will bring Tyson back on for regular Pluto updates once his Late Show stint begins on Sept. 8.
