David O. Russell, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro are back together again for Joy, Russell’s forthcoming drama about “the interior life of one woman’s soul, from the ages of 10 to 40.” Following the release of debut images from the film, Fox has unveiled its first trailer.

Starring Lawrence as the title character — of whom Russell cited Joy Mangano, the inventor and founder of Ingenious Designs, as an inspiration — the Joy trailer begins with its protagonist as a young child and pushes her life through marriage, death, heartbreak and, yes, even joy — all while, a chorale version of The Rolling Stones’ “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” plays in the background. After Lawrence is shown firing a shotgun (doing her best impression of Betty Draper), the montage closes with a single line: “My name’s Joy, by the way.”

Joy is out on Christmas Day. Watch the trailer below, and check out first images from the film here.
