It’s hard out here for … an Adam Goldberg. (And by here, we mean Hollywood.)

Actor Adam Goldberg — whom you might know from Dazed and Confused or his time as Eddie on Friends — has spoken publicly about how he’s not a big fan of constantly being mistaken for Adam F. Goldberg, who’s a producer on the sitcom The Goldbergs

So when actor Adam Goldberg went to promote his work on The Jim Gaffigan Show on Twitter, he decided to direct his message to fans of The Goldbergs, which launched the following exchange:

HEY #THEGOLDBERGS FANS: EXCITING NEWS!! We’re moving to TVLAND! Tune in Wednesdays at 10p for previews of new season!! ALL SUMMER LONG!!

— Adam Goldberg (@TheAdamGoldberg) July 13, 2015

#TheGoldbergs is still on ABC. @theAdamGoldberg‘s show is on TV land, which must be 30 mins of him whining about me.

— Adam F. Goldberg (@adamfgoldberg) July 14, 2015

Why did I retitle #TheGoldbergs as @gaffiganshow on @tvland? Well you can’t have 2 TV shows with the same name silly!

— Adam Goldberg (@TheAdamGoldberg) July 14, 2015

Glad @theAdamGoldberg has his OWN comedy! When he got slowly stabbed in PRIVATE RYAN, I thought, “This guy’s FUNNY.”

From there, things escalated when the actor Adam Goldberg went on Huffington Post Live and used the word “douche bag” when discussing his feud with Adam F. Goldberg.

So when Adam Goldberg — no F. — stopped by EW Radio (SiriusXM 105), he talked about the constant confusion he’s gotten from fans over the past two years who have mistaken him for being involved with The Goldbergs. As for the feud, he mentioned some of the more “personal” shots that Adam F. Goldberg took at him, such as a tweet claiming that the actor’s agent “begged” the producer to cast him as Murray.

On an ending note, Adam Goldberg admitted that the argument was “absurd.”
