Apparently Jesse Eisenberg didn’t have the best time at Comic-Con: The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star compared the annual convention to mass killing during a red carpet interview on Monday.

“It is like being screamed at by thousands of people. I don’t know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide,” he told the Associated Press. “I can’t think of anything that’s equivalent.”

Eisenberg was at the convention to promote Batman v Superman with co-stars Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Henry Cavill, Jeremy Irons, Gal Gadot, and Holly Hunter. His rep did not immediately respond to EW’s request for further comment, but Eisenberg later clarified that his comments were “hyperbole.”
