If the stars of Impastor aren’t careful, they’ll find themselves starring in a ad. Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville) and Sara Rue (Less Than Perfect) have known each other for years, and they’re bringing that chemistry to the small screen in TV Land’s new comedy about gambling pothead Buddy Dobbs (Rosenbaum) who winds up posing as a small town’s gay pastor. His new assistant Dora (Rue) is taken in by the ruse.

Rosenbaum and Rue stopped by the Entertainment Weekly Lounge at Comic-Con, where — in between lollipop licks — they talked improvising sermons, getting to know their characters’ backstories, and what it’s like to walk the Con floor as a bona fide TV supervillain.
