Arrow has found its new big bad!

Neal McDonough has been tapped to play Damien Darhk is the fourth season of Arrow, EW has confirmed.

As first reported by TVLine, Darhk is described as a mysterious, cunning and sophisticated villain who was a rival to Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable). Now the leader of his own clandestine group, aka H.I.V.E., Darhk will prove a challenging foil for Arrow.

As revealed in the finale, Ra’s al Ghul’s plans to destroy Starling City were thinly veiled as an attempt to kill his nemesis Darhk, who skipped town before the League of Assassins could do him harm.

McDonough is no stranger to the superhero world, having played Dum Dum Dugan in Captain America as well as Agent Carter and Agents of S.H.IE.L.D. His other credits include Desperate Housewives, Suits and as the voice of Green Arrow in a number of DC animated projects.

Arrow is slated to return Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Billionaire Oliver Queen — under the vigilante persona of Arrow — tries to right the wrongs of his family and fight the ills of society.
