Stars — they’re just like us!
Rob Lowe, like many others in the Twittersphere, found Ariana Grande‘s public apology for her “I hate America” comments a little lacking.
“As my grandpa would say: ‘Yeah, sure. Pull the other leg, it plays jingle bells!'” the former Parks and Recreation actor tweeted Wednesday, linking to a tweet from TV Guide which read that Grande “licked [donuts] because she hates childhood obesity.”
Lowe, 51, also added the hashtag “#Lame.”
The singer was caught on tape earlier this week licking donuts that she allegedly did not pay for and was heard saying, “I hate America.” In an apology released Wednesday, the singer said that, as “an advocate for healthy eating,” she got “upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our society as a whole.”
Here’s her full apology and video of the incident. Still no word on whether the singer will apologize for licking the donuts.
