Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford are reuniting

Kathie Lee Gifford and Regis Philbin are getting back together — occasionally, at least. Gifford and Hoda Kotb announced Thursday morning that Philbin will be joining their Today show hour once a month.

“We thought he would be the perfect person to join our motley crew,” Kotb said when they announced the news on air.

Gifford and Philbin hosted Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee together from 1988 until Gifford left the show in 2000 (Philbin left in 2011, and the show’s now called Live! with Kelly and Michael). See video of their Today show announcement below.
