When cult sci-fi TV show Firefly was canceled more than a decade ago, actor Alan Tudyk could have become a tragi-comic figure, increasingly in the shadow of his former costar Nathan Fillion. Instead Tudyk appeared in a slew of films and TV shows and then, earlier this year, launched a hugely successful Indiegogo campaign for a Web series called Con Man. In the show, Tudyk plays an actor from a canceled cult sci-f show who becomes a tragi-comic figure, increasingly in the shadow of his more succcessful former costar (portrayed by Nathan Fillion!!!).

Con Man will premiere on Vimeo this September and its trailer (which also features Seth Green, Henry Rollins, Milo Ventimiglia, and a certain Joss Whedon, among others) screened earlier today at the show’s Comic-Con panel. EW readers can now see that clip exclusively, below.
