Teen Choice Award nominees: 'Empire,' Taylor Swift lead second wave
Get voting, teens! The Teen Choice Awards announced their second round of nominations today, and Empire picked up the most nods with seven. Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, and The Flash followed in the TV categories, each getting five nominations.
Pitch Perfect 2 leads the movie nominations with six—including three in the Choice Movie Scene Stealer category alone, one of which is for the Green Bay Packers, who I think we can all agree we would like to see give an acceptance speech—followed by Jurassic World’s five nods. Taylor Swift tops the music categories, also with six nominations.
The Awards will also introduce two new categories this year, Choice Dancer and, naturally, Choice Selfie Taker. Dancer nominees include Dance Moms star and Sia’s mini-me Maddie Ziegler as well as Magic Mike XXL performer Stephen “tWitch” Boss; Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and One Direction—yes, as a single entity—all picked up selfie nominations.
You can find the full list of nominees here. Voting on this round will last until July 24, and the Teen Choice Awards will air live on Fox on August 16.
