Demi Lovato to replace Ariana Grande at 2015 MLB All-Star Game Concert
UPDATE: In a statement to BuzzFeed News, Ariana Grande cited recovery from “emergency oral surgery” as the reason she cannot perform at the All-Star Concert. “I hope to make it up to all those fans soon,” Grande wrote.
EARLIER: Demi Lovato will take over as the headliner for Saturday’s Budweiser MLB All-Star Concert, as part of the festivities leading up to next week’s All-Star Game at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
Grande dropped out due to health issues, according to Major League Baseball.
The “Love Me Harder” singer wrote on Twitter Monday saying she had three wisdom teeth removed and “feels like ass.” A video of Grande with her backup dancer and rumored boyfriend Ricky Alvarez surfaced the next day, showing the two licking donuts they allegedly didn’t pay for before the pop star proclaims, “I hate Americans. I hate America.”
The concert will take place Saturday at Paul Brown Stadium at 8 p.m. ET.
