The long-rumored news we’ve all wanted came Tuesday: A Star Wars spinoff centered around a young Han Solo is coming, directed by The Lego Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The movie’s plot “focuses on how young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley,” according to a LucasFilms statement.

One natural question arises: Who should play the lead scruffy-looking nerf-herder?

Man-of-the-moment Chris Pratt has been the de facto favorite since the news began percolating years ago. But at 36, the Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy star is older than Harrison Ford was when the original Star Wars was released.

We’d like to hear from you: Whom does the public want to see take up the famed Solo role? EW rounded up established (and maybe too old) stars; young, fresh faces; a bonafide Ford clone; and expert motivator Shia LaBeouf as candidates. There’s also a strong-willed, smooth Oscar winner who would be perfect — her sex aside. Take your pick below.

Whomever is selected, they will have to fill a very large captain’s seat. The Solo film is currently set for a May 25, 2018 release.
