YouTube star Michelle Phan to release a digital comic

YouTube’s most popular make-up expert, Michelle Phan, has become the embodiment of millenial entrepreneurship, recently expanding her empire into a subscription service for beauty supplies and her lifestyle video platform, Icon.

But now the vlogger is branching out in a less expected way.

This fall, Phan will release a 26-chapter fantasy comic called The Enchantress on the web platform LINE Webtoon.

“Most people think of me as a makeup guru, but might be surprised to know I’m also a trained artist and a huge comic book fan,” Phan said in a statement. “The Enchantress is my passion project that has been brewing since I was 11, and I’m so excited to finally pursue this dream of mine.”

The web comic will follow a “young songstress,” who must turn to an alchemist named BeBo to realize her true power.
