The trailer for the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie, The Road Chip, has about everything you’d expect — chipmunk puns, high-pitched versions of songs you once loved, and Jason Lee fulfilling his contractual obligation to yell “Aaaaaaalvinnnnnn.”

Don’t expect to learn much about the deep plot tie-ins that bridge the film’s story from the 2011 sequel Chipwrecked, as instead the trailer is full of shots of cars and CG chipmunks vaguely interacting with those cars. Other than the main trio’s attempt to hold onto a vehicle, the main centerpiece of the trailer is a high-pitched take on “Uptown Funk,” which may or may not be called “Chiptown Funk,” “Upchip Funk” or “Chipchip Chip” on the film’s soundtrack.

In addition to Jason Lee, Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Jesse McCartney lend their voices as Alvin, Simon and Theodore. The fourth live-action Alvin and the Chipmunks movie is set to hit theaters on Dec. 23.
