The Roots celebrated Fourth of July in their hometown Philadelphia, and while performing at the Philly Fourth of July Jam, they brought out a special guest: Mayor Michael Nutter.

Nutter, who used to be a DJ, joined the band to sing Sugarhill gang’s classic “Rapper’s Delight.”

This was Nutter’s last Fourth of July as mayor, and he ended the show with a literal mic drop. Well done.
