Gale Hawthorne has always been a determined sort of guy, but by the looks of a new Mockingjay — Part 2 poster featuring Liam Hemsworth in character as Katniss Everdeen’s closest childhood friend, the good-natured hunter-gatherer is now a fierce revolutionary ready for a no-holds-barred battle against the Capitol.

In the official “Faces of the Revolution” poster — one of eight being rolled out today by Lionsgate — Gale’s looks ready for battle, his face stenciled with a bright red Mockingjay symbol, suggesting that he’s fully committed to the Rebellion and the events that lie ahead.

And battle — actually, make that a complete and utter struggle for survival — is exactly what fans can expect to see in the final installment in The Hunger Games franchise. Directed by Francis Lawrence, Mockingjay – Part 2 will feature Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) as she leads the Districts in rebellion and tries to take down its sadistic leader, President Snow (Donald Sutherland).

But the movie — based on the final book in author Suzanne Collin’s best-selling series—won’t be all conflict and crazy war sequences: as seen in the trailer released in early June, there’ll be a wedding, uniting Finnick (Sam Claflin) and his adored Annie (Stef Dawson), with fellow Rebels Joanna (Jena Malone), Effie (Elizabeth Banks), President Coin (Julianne Moore), Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) and Plutarch (Philip Seymour Hoffman) all in attendance. The epic conclusion will also feature a few new female characters. True Blood’s Michelle Forbes plays Lieutenant Jackson and Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie will step into the shoes of Commander Lym, a former Hunger Games champion and rebel leader.

“There is some serious girl power in this movie,” director Francis Lawrence told EW earlier this month. “She [Suzanne Collins] wrote it that way, and it’s been so much fun to inhabit.”

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2 opens in theaters worldwide on Nov. 20.
