Hannibal: Netflix and Amazon pass on show, but Bryan Fuller has hope
Cult favorite Hannibal has only earned a small, but fervent, audience in its three seasons. The numbers were so bleak that NBC canceled the show on June 22. Immediately, speculation — stirred by executive producer Bryan Fuller — began that another network could save the critically acclaimed drama.
Take Netflix and Amazon off the possible list of saviors, though. Fuller wrote on Twitter on Monday that both passed on season 4 of the show.
Fuller told EW before season 3 started he has a “radical” plan for a fourth season if it was able it was able to get made. If it does get made, it won’t be at either streaming giant.
The rest of Hannibal‘s 10-episode third season can be seen Thursday at 10 p.m. on NBC.
