No, the low, pounding drumbeat you hear isn’t a sign you’re going crazy; it’s the build-up to Chris Tucker’s upcoming stand-up special. The comedian is set to release his first-ever comedy special, Chris Tucker Live, on Netflix, and EW has the first look.

The Silver Linings Playbook co-star dishes on his life and performs some madcap impressions; for those who dug Tucker’s Michael Jackson antics in the Rush Hour series, there’s a tease of that in the above trailer. J’mon, Lee!

“Before people started seeing me in movies, I was doing standup,” Tucker said in a statement. “It’s always been a part of me, and now I’m excited to share it with my fans around the world.”

The special was filmed at the Historic Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Tucker’s hometown, and marks the first project he has starred in and produced through his own company, Chris Tucker Entertainment. Phil Joanou (Gridiron Gang) directs.

Chris Tucker Live will be available July 10 exclusively on Netflix.
