EARLIER: We’ve seen her sing on Glee and in Nine, but it can be easy to forget that Kate Hudson has some decent pipes.

Showing a lot of energy for that early in the morning, Hudson posted a Fourth of July Instagram video of herself singing the national anthem, complete with hashtags like “#MyKidsAreGoingToBeSoEmbarrassed” and “WokeUpTheNeighbors.” “7:30am and I’m feeling seriously patriotic! Happy 4th of July!” she captioned the video.
