Tom Holland was announced as the newest Spider-Man just last week, and he’s already got a high-profile supporter in his corner.

Stan Lee gave approval to the 19-year-old British actor on Monday while attending the Los Angeles premiere of Ant-Man.

“He’s good to me! I can’t see anything wrong with him,” the Marvel icon told Entertainment Tonight, admitting that he wasn’t familiar with Holland’s previous acting work.

“I don’t know him intimately – in fact, I’ve never seen him [onscreen],” Lee said. “But if [Marvel] picked him, I’m sure he’s good!”

The next Spider-Man film, with Holland as Peter Parker, will arrive in theaters in 2017.

“We saw many terrific young actors,” Tom Rothman, Sony Pictures Motion Pictures Group Chairman, said in a statement announcing the casting, “but Tom’s screen tests were special. All in all, we are off to a roaring start.”
