Amy Schumer says she would appear on 'The Bachelorette'
'I would want $1 million, and I would donate it to a charity that would keep that guy Tony from this season away from me'
Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck press tour has turned into an opportunity for her to talk about The Bachelorette. One day after video of Schumer revealing her conditions for appearing on the reality show went online, she got specific about her Bachelorette needs in an interview with EW Morning Live hosts Sara Vilkomerson, Kyle Anderson and Jessica Shaw.
“I would choose Afghanistan [as the location]. I hear that’s a really cool place to hang, but I’ll never know,” Schumer joked. “I’d want it to be only Asian guys who could apply. I would want $1 million, and I would donate it to a charity that would keep that guy Tony from this season away from me. It’s my own charity: He has to stay a football field away from me at all times.”
As for the time commitment required to appear on The Bachelorette, Schumer said, “It’s a journey. So however long it takes to find my husband.”
Schumer appeared on The Bachelorette in May, leading fans — and even the show’s producers — to call for her to become the next show star. Speaking on Tuesday, Schumer said she would actually consider it with two other conditions (beyond the charity stuff): “I would do it if I could be myself, and I would need some hand in the editing.”
