Lil Wayne and Charlie Puth drop 'Nothing But Trouble'
Free Weezy Album is due to drop this weekend but that isn’t the only new music Lil Wayne is sharing this week. Monday, he released a downtempo collab with crooner (and recent Entertainment Weekly Breaking Big!) Charlie Puth. The new track, “Nothing But Trouble” is a slow jam from the 808 soundtrack about Instagram models— people who seem to want followers and likes more than they want, well, the two men on this track. (808 is a documentary about the iconic 808 drum machine. It premiered earlier this year at SXSW Film.)
This is Puth’s second rap-collaboration and soundtrack feature for the year—he and Wiz Khalifa enjoyed the enormously successful “See You Again,” on the Furious 7 collection. He is currently out on tour with Meghan Trainor; a full list of dates can be found on her website.
