It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly two decades since Chris Farley died at the age of 33 in 1997. The comic—who got his start in Chicago at Second City before breaking out on Saturday Night Live and films such as Tommy Boy and Black Sheep—is remembered fondly and, of course, sadly in this new trailer for the documentary I Am Chris Farley.

Directed by Brent Hodge and Derik Murray, the film chronicles Farley’s life, and includes vintage footage, home videos, and interviews with David Spade, Adam Sandler, Lorne Michaels, Bob Odenkirk, and Molly Shannon, among others.

The film opens in theaters July 31 and will also become available on VOD on Aug 11.

Watch the trailer below.

David Spade, Christina Applegate, Dan Aykroyd, Lorne Michaels, Mike Myers, Adam Sandler, Molly Shannon and more reflect on the comedian’s life and legacy in I Am Chris Farley.
