Transparent is getting a third season. Amazon has unsurprisingly greenlit its Golden Globe-winning drama series for another round for 2016.

Also, the show’s creator Jill Soloway has signed an overall deal with Amazon Studios to create new projects while continuing to serve as the showrunner of Transparent.

“Jill is truly a creative force and I’m thrilled that we will be collaborating with her additional projects in the future and on a third season of Transparent,” said Roy Price, Vice President, Amazon Studios. “The second season is currently starting production, and I know our customers will be delighted to continue the journey with Maura and the Pfefferman family.”

The acclaimed half-hour series stars Jeffrey Tambor as the father of a Los Angeles family who comes out as transgender. Season 3 is expected to debut some time this year but does not have an announced launch date yet. Soloway recently said that the media sensation surrounding Caitlyn Jenner would be reflected in the show’s storyline this year, though it’s not yet clear if Jenner will actually appear in the series.
