Saved by the Bell alum Dustin Diamond has been sentenced to four months in jail for the two misdemeanors he was charged with in late May, the Associated Pressreports. He’ll begin his sentence Sunday.

Diamond stabbed someone at a Wisconsin bar Dec. 25 and was subsequently convicted of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct.

According to the original criminal complaint, Diamond noticed two men grabbing his fiancée, Amanda Schutz, by the hair, and when he approached Schutz, a man grabbed him. Diamond responded by pulling out the knife, which he says “was meant to be a deterrent to free his fiancée.” He said in the complaint that he “did not intentionally stab the individual at the bar.”

In addition to the four-month sentence, Diamond has also been sentenced to 15 months probation. His lawyer did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.
