Did you hear that Marty McFly? Hoverboards do exist.

The company released a first look at the Lexus Hoverboard, which isn’t for sale just yet. The current product is a prototype and testing will take place in Barcelona in the next few weeks.

“It’s the perfect example of the amazing things that can be achieved when you combine technology, design and imagination,” Mark Templin, executive vice president of Lexus International said in a release.

According to Lexus, the Hoverboard implements liquid nitrogen cooled superconductors and permanent magnets to help achieve the levitation effect. But according to USA Today, there’s a catch: It only works in a “controlled environment.” For example, spokesman Moe Durand clarified that there are magnets underneath the concrete in a video teaser (above) released with the announcement.

Bloomberg Business noted that Lexus plans to reveal more information on Oct. 21 as the date coincides with the day Marty, Doc and Jennifer traveled to in 1989’s Back to the Future Part II. Apparently Marty was right: If you put your mind to it, you really can accomplish anything.
